LITERATURE
Literature is one of the most important aspects of English Frist Language Study. According to Wikipedia, 'literature is the art of written works. Literally translated, the word means "acquaintance with letters"'.
There are different types of genre that are studied at schools and universities: poetry, plays, novels, short stories and non-fiction works.
The most studied works are the plays and poems written by William Shakespeare. Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, King Lear and Twelfth Night are some of his most famous plays.
